Public authorities in England must consider what they can do to conserve and enhance biodiversity in England. This is the strengthened 'biodiversity duty' that the Environment Act 2021 introduces. The Council's Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) outlines the policies and actions taken to date in compliance with the biodiversity duty, and sets out the measures planned for the next reporting period to further meet this obligation. BAP to be adopted at Cabinet.
