About
The Planning Development Management Committee is responsible for the Council's Development Management and Building Standards duties. It determines most applications for planning permission and consent, except for those delegated to officers or where a pre-determination hearing has occurred. The committee also approves development briefs and masterplans, adopts planning management guidance, and makes relevant orders and notices. It may visit application sites and conducts pre-determination hearings as required by the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997.
