Employees' Joint Consultative Committee

Remit – To consider and make recommendations to the Council or appropriate committees and/or to the trade unions concerning matters of common interest including, for example, health and safety issues.   The existing constitution for this body requires that the JCC comprises 10 elected members and 10 representatives from recognised Trade Unions as follows: 6 places allocated between UNISON (3), GMB (2) and UNITE (1) and 4 places between the recognised teaching unions (EIS, SSTA, NASUWT, VOICE, AHDS and SLS).
