The Procedures Committee of Aberdeenshire Council considered the Programme of Work on 10 June 2026. The committee was recommended to consider the Programme of Work at Appendix 1. The report provided updates on ongoing and requested work, with indications of when reports would be presented to the committee.

The Procedures Committee decided to recommend to Council that Area Committees move to a four-weekly cycle. This decision was recorded on 10/06/2026. The committee agreed to a review of the frequency of Area Committees, noting a reduction in items but longer agendas and increased time spent in committee.

Formartine Area Committee of Aberdeenshire Council noted declarations of interest on 09/06/2026. Councillor Hassan declared a Transparency Statement regarding Item 8, and Councillor Nicol declared a Transparency Statement regarding Item 6. Both councillors concluded they would remain and participate in the determination of their respective items.

The Formartine Area Committee deferred consideration of Formartine Area Community Council Funding 2026-2027 on 09/06/2026. This deferral is pending a workshop with Education and Children’s Services regarding proposed let charges for community groups using education facilities.

The Formartine Area Committee approved the Business Services' Area Committee Performance Indicator Report on 09/06/2026. The committee sought clarity on when buildings being sold were removed from performance figures and asked the Director to explore incorporating emissions and climate targets into building suitability assessments.
