The Banff and Buchan Area Committee decided to approve the name "Fraserburgh Central ELC @ St Andrews" for the new registered early years setting. This decision was made on 18/08/2026.

The Banff and Buchan Area Committee approved the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service performance report for Q1 2026. The committee requested that the "Crash Live" event be rolled out to Fraserburgh Academy and that risks associated with e-bikes be incorporated into future events.

The Banff and Buchan Area Committee agreed to allocate funding from the Banff and Buchan Crown Estate Coastal Communities Fund 2025/26 on 18 August 2026. The committee agreed to allocate funding to seven projects from the second tranche and agreed to a third tranche of funding for the remaining balance. Authority to determine the allocation of remaining funds was delegated to the Banff and Buchan Area Manager in consultation with the Chair, Vice Chair, and Opposition Spokesperson.

The Banff and Buchan Area Committee of Aberdeenshire Council agreed to the Public Sector Equality Duty on 18 August 2026. Members were reminded of their legal duty under section 149 of the Equality Act 2010 to have due regard to the need to eliminate discrimination, advance equality of opportunity, and foster good relations between those with and without protected characteristics. The committee was directed to consider Integrated Impact Assessments where provided in reports.

The Banff and Buchan Area Committee of Aberdeenshire Council agreed to the lease of land at Corn Road, Inverallochy on 18 August 2026. The Integrated Impact Assessment stated that all impacts have been mitigated and no detailed assessments were required.
