About

The Planning Committee (previously known as the Development Control Board) is responsible for making decisions on planning applications that could have a significant impact on the local community, either to the size or nature of the proposed development.   The Planning Committee typically meets every four weeks at 7.00pm at the Town Hall, Barking.    Details of planning applications can be found on the Council’s website at

Search Planning Applications.  If you have an interest in a particular planning application and wish to address the Committee, you can register to speak via our online form at https://www.lbbd.gov.uk/planning-committee.  Alternatively, you can send an email to Democratic.Services@lbbd.gov.uk.
