About

The Communities and Local Services Scrutiny Committee reviews and scrutinises the Council's services to improve public provision and responsiveness to community needs.

Its remit covers a wide range of areas including policing, community safety, street scene services, waste management, housing, licensing (excluding matters delegated to the Licensing Committee), trading standards, libraries, and transport policies. The committee undertakes the Council's scrutiny functions for these portfolios, examining their effectiveness and recommending improvements.
