The Audit Committee provides oversight of Enfield Council's governance, risk, and control arrangements, ensuring their adequacy and effectiveness. It reviews internal and external audits, financial reports, and governance reports to strengthen internal challenge and public accountability. This committee's work aims to give confidence to those responsible for governance that the council's systems are robust. Meetings are open to the public, but there is no provision for public speaking.
