The Cabinet approved Enfield's Economic Growth Plan to 2040 on 14 October 2026. The Cabinet Member for Housing and Technology approved the Council Housing Workforce Competence, Learning and Performance Policy and the Housing Services Code of Conduct on 12 October 2026. The Leader of the Council, Cllr Alessandro Georgiou, agreed on 16 October 2026 to appoint Akin Durowoju as an Independent Non-Executive Director to the board of Housing Gateway Limited (HGL). The number of Independent Directors on the HGL board will be increased to three for six months to ensure a smooth handover.
