About

The Chief Officers' Employment Panel is responsible for key decisions regarding the appointment, dismissal, and remuneration of senior council officers. It makes recommendations to the Council on the appointment and dismissal of the Head of Paid Service, and has the power to appoint and dismiss other Chief Officers, with specific exclusions for the Chief Financial Officer and Monitoring Officer in certain circumstances.

The panel also considers disciplinary recommendations, approves remuneration and severance packages exceeding £100,000, and reports these approvals to the Council.
