About
The Licensing & General Purposes Committee is responsible for developing the Council's Licensing Policy and overseeing the administration of alcohol and entertainment licensing under the Licensing Act 2003, along with other minor licensing functions. While the committee sets policy, individual cases with objections are handled by separate Licensing Panels. This committee's work directly impacts businesses and individuals seeking or holding licenses within the borough.
