About

The Standards Committee is responsible for upholding the ethical framework for Lewisham councillors and other members. It promotes high standards of behaviour, advises on and oversees the Member Code of Conduct, and provides training. The committee handles allegations of code breaches, imposes sanctions, and reviews whistleblowing procedures. It also considers dispensation requests, monitors corporate governance, adjudicates on member allowance disputes, and reviews the Council's use of investigatory powers.
