The Place, Economic Growth and Environment Board will examine how the Council meets three key priorities. It is also responsible for reviewing how risk management authorities handle flood risk in Oldham. Additionally, the Board will look into crime and disorder issues by reviewing the actions of relevant authorities and addressing any local crime or disorder concerns raised by a Council member. The Scrutiny Board focuses on providing:

Get Oldham Working Town Centre Park Local procurement and value for money Social Solar Farm Green energy Climate Emergency Community Safety Crime and Disorder Licensing and Gambling Policies (respective 2003 and 2005 Acts); Plans and Strategies which together comprise the Local Plan – Core Strategy; Community Safety and Cohesion Partnership Strategy.
