About

The Cabinet is responsible for carrying out all of Powys Council's functions that are not assigned to other parts of the council by law or its constitution. It is made up of the Leader and other appointed councillors, known as Portfolio Holders.

Each Portfolio Holder is responsible for specific areas, including economic development, housing, social care, education, environmental services, and customer services. The Cabinet makes decisions and oversees the implementation of council policies and services across these diverse areas, impacting residents and businesses throughout Powys.
