About
The Audit, Standards and Statutory Accounts Committee provides independent assurance on the Council's risk management, internal controls, treasury management, and annual governance. It ensures the integrity of financial reporting, monitors fraud and corruption defences, and promotes high standards of conduct. The committee also considers investigation reports and conducts hearings into alleged breaches of the Members' Code of Conduct, and reviews the Council's Statement of Accounts.
