The Charities and Trusts Committee of Staffordshire Council approved recommendations regarding the Nicholson Institute on 09 June 2026. The committee agreed to run a competition for a tenant for the lower ground floor, delay granting leases for the ground and first floors, approach the Charity Commission regarding governing document variations, and delegate approval of the business case and lease to the Assistant Director for Commercial and Assets.

The Charities and Trusts Committee of Staffordshire Council approved recommendations on 09/06/2026. The committee approved the grant of a lease of part of Dosthill playing field and recreation ground to the Fierte Multi-Academy Trust. They also approved an application to CISWO and the Charity Commission for consent to grant the lease and to delegate approval to the Assistant Director for Commercial and Assets to complete the final lease.

The committee granted a Licence for Alterations to Landau Forte Charitable Trust for the installation of solar roof panels on the Elizabeth Block. Approval was delegated to the Assistant Director for Commercial and Assets to agree the final form of all required documents.
