About

The Communities & Transport Scrutiny Committee examines and reviews the work of the Cabinet in relation to Communities, Culture and Public Protection, and Parks, Highways & Transport Services. It monitors the activities of external organisations and partnerships in Stockport to ensure local interests are served through collaboration.

This committee's role is to scrutinise decisions and actions, providing recommendations and oversight rather than making executive decisions itself. Its work helps to ensure that council services and partnerships effectively benefit the residents of Stockport.
