About

The Waltham Forest Pension Board is an advisory body that assists the Council in ensuring the effective and efficient governance and administration of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). It helps secure compliance with scheme regulations, relevant legislation, and requirements from the Pensions Regulator.

The Board does not manage the pension fund itself, but it can make reports and recommendations to the Pension Committee. It has the power to examine decisions and actions related to fund management and must prepare an annual report. The Board is composed of employer and member representatives and operates under specific terms of reference.
