The Shareholder Committee (Cabinet Committee) of Oxfordshire Council met on Tuesday 16 June 2026 and formally appointed Alexander Reip as the Chair of the Enterprise Oxfordshire Board. The meeting also approved the minutes from the previous meeting and noted apologies for absence.

Appointment of Enterprise Oxfordshire Chair

The committee formally appointed Alexander Reip as the Chair of the Enterprise Oxfordshire Board. This decision followed an open recruitment process that initially did not identify a suitable candidate. A revised approach involved inviting candidates from the former Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (OxLEP) Board to interview. Alexander Reip was identified as the preferred candidate and has accepted the position in principle. Mr. Reip has extensive experience in deep tech, having co-founded Oxford nanoSystems, and holds several non-executive and advisory roles, including chairing the Oxfordshire Economic Partnership Board. The appointment has no associated costs and is a reserved matter for the Shareholder Committee to approve, as per Enterprise Oxfordshire's Articles of Association. Councillor Dan Levy, Cabinet Member for Finance, Property and Transformation, declared an interest as a non-executive director of Enterprise Oxfordshire and left the meeting for this item.
