The Chief Officers Employment Committee of Cornwall Council met on Friday 25 September 2026. The meeting was held in private to discuss matters relating to chief officers.
Chief Officer Matters
The committee resolved to exclude the press and public from the meeting for the discussion of Chief Officer Matters
. This decision was made under Section 100A (4) of the Local Government Act 1972, citing the likely disclosure of exempt information. The grounds for exclusion included information relating to individuals, information that could reveal an individual's identity, information concerning the financial or business affairs of any particular person, and information subject to legal professional privilege. The debate and resolution regarding this item are contained within the confidential minutes of the meeting. Following this discussion, the press and public were re-admitted to the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Councillor Leigh Frost (Leader of the Council and Group Leader - Liberal Democrat Group), who also served as Chairman, and Councillor Adam Paynter (Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Resources and Group Leader - Independent Group), who served as Vice-Chairman. Other attendees included Councillors Martyn Alvey, Paul Ashton, Drew Creek, Hilary Frank, and Rowland O'Connor. The meeting concluded at 3:15 pm.
