This meeting will consider the new governance arrangements for the Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (OxLEP) following its transition to council control in April 2024. The meeting will also consider the resignation of Councillor Liz Leffman from the OxLEP board, and will consider the appointment of new members to the board.

Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership Governance

Following the transfer of the local enterprise partnership to Oxfordshire County Council, this meeting will consider a report on the future governance of the Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership. The report, by the council's Director of Economy and Place, Robin Rogers, states that:

To give effect to the Cabinet’s decisions there is a need to change the OxLEP Articles of Association and to appoint new company directors. (SC20241217R08 Articles and Appointments) The meeting will consider whether to approve and sign the proposed written resolutions on these matters.

Resignation of Councillor Leffman

The meeting will note the resignation of Councillor Liz Leffman as a director of the Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership. The meeting's agenda states that Councillor Leffman resigned from the board to avoid any conflicts of interest arising from her position as Leader of the Council, which she has held since May 2018.
