The Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority met on Friday, 30 January 2026, to appoint a new Chief Executive. The meeting confirmed Lee Sirdifield as the new Chief Executive, also designating him as the Head of Paid Service and Returning Officer.

Appointment of Chief Executive

The Authority unanimously recommended Lee Sirdifield for the position of Chief Executive. This decision followed interviews conducted by the Appointments Panel on 20 January 2026. Dame Andrea Jenkyns DBE, Mayor of the Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority, expressed her pleasure in recommending Mr. Sirdifield, highlighting his wealth of experience and his involvement in the establishment of the Authority. Members of the Authority were reassured that Mr. Sirdifield met the high standards expected for the role.

The following resolutions were made:

• Lee Sirdifield was appointed to the position of Chief Executive, with an offer of employment to be made subject to satisfactory completion of all statutory and regulatory pre-employment checks.
• The Chief Executive was designated as the Head of Paid Service and Returning Officer.
• Authority was delegated to the Resourcing Manager at Lincolnshire County Council to confirm the completion of conditional checks and, in consultation with the Mayor, to agree the commencement date for the new Chief Executive.
