The Kincardine and Mearns Area Committee decided to grant full planning permission for a change of use of agricultural land to form a holiday caravan site on 01 September 2026. The committee agreed to the delegated grant as the proposal complies with relevant planning policies, with greater weight given to supporting tourism and farm diversification. Conditions were delegated to Planning Officers.

Kincardine and Mearns Area Committee noted the Annual Estates Plan for 2026/27 on 01 September 2026. The committee's comments on proposed asset disposals will be sent to the relevant Policy Committees.

The Kincardine and Mearns Area Committee decided to provide comment to Aberdeenshire Integration Joint Board that it was important to fully engage with local communities to provide reassurance that they are being listened to. This decision was made on 01 September 2026.

The Kincardine and Mearns Area Committee refused full planning permission for a Battery Energy Storage System and associated infrastructure. The committee decided that the development would introduce an industrial form of development into an open rural landscape, resulting in an unacceptable adverse effect on local landscape character and visual amenity.

The Education and Children's Services Committee agreed on 27 August 2026 to recommend to Full Council that King Edward School be retained as the site for the merged provision. Education will be permanently discontinued at Fintry School.
