The Cabinet of Lancashire Council decided to approve the allocation of £19 million for special school expansions and £4 million for a mainstream inclusion capital fund. They also approved the publication of a draft revised Joint Lancashire Minerals and Waste Local Plan for consultation. The Cabinet agreed to cease all refugee resettlement administration responsibility, with the Director of Communities and Engagement authorised to implement this decision.

The Lancashire Combined County Authority decided to approve the constitution and membership for the 2026/27 municipal year on 23 June 2026. The authority also approved the appointment of County Councillor Stephen Atkinson as Chair and Councillor Lynn Williams as Vice Chair. They approved the supporting statement for Local Skills Improvement Plans, subject to amendments, and approved the methodology for the Post 16 Capacity fund.
