The Cabinet approved the Customer Experience and Access Strategy 2025-2028 and its action plan on 09 December 2025. The decision included plans for website redesign, user experience reviews, digital literacy programmes, and multilingual support.

The Cabinet decided to approve the consolidation of Roding Primary School onto its Cannington Road site and the closure of the Hewitt Road site from 31 August 2026. This decision was made on 09/12/2025. The Cabinet agreed to reduce the school's published admission number from 6 forms of entry to 4 forms of entry.

The Cabinet of Barking and Dagenham Council resolved to approve a retrospective waiver of contract rules and direct award of the contract for servicing and maintenance of passenger lifts and associated plant equipment to Professional Lifts Services Ltd until March 2026. This decision was made on 09 December 2025 to facilitate the payment of annual uplift provisions within the original contract agreement. A further report will be presented seeking approval for a competitive procurement strategy for a new long-term contract commencing April 2026.

The Cabinet decided to approve the Housing Revenue Account budget and rent setting for 2026/27 and the 30-year business plan on 09/12/2025. This included agreeing proposed increases to rents and some service charges, agreeing proposed reductions in other service charges, agreeing budget allocations and capital programmes, and noting the 30-year business plan.

The Cabinet of Barking and Dagenham Council approved the procurement of a new All-Age Care Technology Service on 09/12/2025. This decision includes approving a three-month extension to the existing contract and authorising the Strategic Director, Children and Adults to conduct the procurement and award contracts. The approved actions include commissioning the service via two lots: Core Service Provision and a Strategic partner for change management and innovation, and authorising the inclusion of additional funding as secured.
