Retender of the Family Time Service

From: Children Young People and Education Committee - Wednesday, 15 July 2026 - 6.00 p.m. - July 15, 2026

The purpose of this report is to present a proposal to tender for the service that provides Family Time sessions for Wirral families. For children and young people’s welfare to be secure, it is recognised that in some situations, family may need to be supervised. Family time is the supervision of a child by a safe adult while the child has contact with a non-residential family member. The Local Authority has a duty to provide family time between children and young people looked after by the Local Authority and their families. Family time will enable a child to spend time with parent/family member with a trained professional on hand to ensure it remains safe and in their best interest
