Cheltenham Borough Council Cabinet decided on 13 October 2026 to approve the revocation of existing smoke control orders and the declaration of a borough-wide smoke control order, subject to consultation and confirmation by the Secretary of State. The Director of Finance and Operations, in conjunction with the Director for One Legal, is authorised to confirm the new order.

Cheltenham Borough Council's Cabinet decided on 13/10/2026 to approve the budget-setting timetable and strategy for 2027/28. The Cabinet also noted the General Fund position for 2026/27 and endorsed continued work on the Medium-Term Financial Strategy through four savings pillars.
