Councillors agreed to amend the Council Procedure Rules and the Councillor's Code of Conduct, and noted reports on treasury management activities, scrutiny, and the use of emergency provisions. The council also rejected a Conservative Group motion calling for support for local businesses.

Scrutiny Coordinating Committee - Wednesday, 24th September, 2025 7.00 pm

The Scrutiny Coordinating Committee of Waltham Forest Council met on 24 September 2025 to discuss early intervention and prevention strategies, safeguarding partnerships, and corporate performance. The committee also planned to review action and recommendation trackers, and consider future agenda items. Councillor Yusuf Patel, Chair of the Scrutiny Coordinating Committee, was present alongside other councillors.

The Communities and Public Protection Scrutiny Committee met to discuss knife crime, community safety, and review the Problem Solving Partnership Meeting. Councillor Jack Phipps, Chair of the Committee, was scheduled to lead the meeting. The committee was also expected to review and refine its work programme for the year.

Climate Scrutiny Committee - Thursday, 11th September, 2025 7.00 pm

The Waltham Forest Climate Scrutiny Committee met to discuss electric vehicle charging points, the performance of the council's contract with FCC Environment, and the council's sports and leisure strategy. The committee noted reports on all three topics, and reviewed the forward plan for the remainder of the municipal year.
