Code of Conduct Hearing Panel - Outcome

The Council of Sutton Council noted the outcome of the Code of Conduct Hearing Panel on 02 March 2026. The panel found Councillor Sheldon Vestey breached the Code of Conduct by failing to issue an apology and undertake required training. Councillor Vestey was censured for failing to undertake training and was required to complete it within three weeks.

2026/29 Medium Term Financial Plan and 2026/27 Budget

The Council, Strategy and Resources Committee approved recommendations for the 2026/27 budget and Medium Term Financial Plan on 02/03/2026. The Council approved the General Fund Net Budget Requirement of £222.088m, the pay policy statement for 2026/27, growth items, and savings proposals. The Council also agreed the Sutton element of the 2026/27 Council Tax at £1,868.13 for a Band D property, an increase of 4.99%.
