The Cabinet of Buckinghamshire Council decided to endorse the Best Start in Life Programme and designate High Wycombe and Burnham as further Best Start Family Hub locations on 12/05/2026. The Cabinet delegated authority to the Cabinet Member for Education and Children’s Services to decide the High Wycombe site location and agreed to retain and repurpose the former Day Opportunities Centre in Burnham as a Family Hub. A £678,000 Capital Budget was agreed for the delivery of these hubs.

Cabinet noted the Buckinghamshire Shareholder & Trust Committee Annual Report for 2025/26 on 12/05/2026. The report details the committee's work ensuring council companies, LLPs, and trusts acted in the council's interests and adhered to best practices.

...to approve the updated Disabled Facilities Grant and Housing Assistance Policy, which clarifies eligibility and parameters, reflects current best practices, and aims to ensure the full allocation of increased DFG funding is spent to meet the needs of disabled residents.

...to approve a £3 million investment plan aimed at reducing the backlog and waiting times for Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) assessments for children and young people in Buckinghamshire.
