The Executive decided to tender 21 local bus services and recommission enhanced community transport services for a five-year contract period. This decision was made on 28/05/2026. The Executive also agreed to delegate authority to award contracts to the Director of Place & Growth in consultation with the Section 151 Officer and the Executive Member for Active Travel, Transport and Highways.

The Executive decided to approve the development of a solar canopy and electric vehicle charging hub at Mereoak Park and Ride on 28 May 2026. The decision grants approval to increase capital expenditure to £5.79m, funded from borrowing, and delegates final design and configuration decisions. The project includes the installation of battery storage and phased deployment of electric vehicle chargers.

The Executive of Wokingham Council approved the procurement of 21 local bus services and recommissioning of community transport services for a five-year contract period on 28/05/2026. The Executive also agreed to the release of S106 developer funding and any appropriate grant funding to support these decisions. Authority was delegated to the Director of Place & Growth, in consultation with the Section 151 Officer and the Executive Member for Active Travel, Transport and Highways, to award contracts for community transport, core local bus services, and optional or enhanced local services.

The Executive noted the report on Twyford Station access improvements on 28/05/2026. The report detailed progress on addressing parking and access issues at the station. This included ongoing work with Great Western Railway to assess parking demand and explore expansion options, as well as plans to improve bus, cycling, and walking access.

The Executive decided to approve varying the leisure contract with Places Leisure to move to an Agency Model arrangement. This decision was made on 28/05/2026. The Executive delegated authority to the Deputy Chief Executive/Director of Resources and Assets, in consultation with the Leader of the Council and the Head of Legal, to vary the contract and enter into necessary agreements.
