The Cabinet of Barnet Council on 12 October 2026 approved the procurement of a multidisciplinary Client Monitoring Team and Fire Engineering Support for the Colindale Office Remediation Programme. Officers will introduce a new licence form for parklets, ensuring businesses maintain them, keep them clean, plant them, and contribute to structural annual survey costs.

This decision authorises up to £3,542,384.50 in funding for substance misuse prevention, treatment, and recovery services. The council will implement required documentation for this contract variation.

The Cabinet of Barnet Council approved the development of a Full Business Case for purchasing renewable energy through a long-term Power Purchase Agreement on 12 October 2026. This decision allows for the exploration of a 15-year agreement to purchase 4GWh of electricity annually from a solar farm. The council will also explore energy supply from London Energy as an alternative or supplementary option.
