Strategic Planning Committee - Tuesday 30th September 2025 2.00 pm

The Strategic Planning Committee convened to discuss and approve recommendations for a major residential development and a large solar farm project. Councillors approved the reserved matters for land at Towcester Vale relating to the main local centre, and agreed the position for the Green Hill Solar Farm as set out in the officer's report, subject to additional comments.

Council - Thursday 25th September 2025 6.00 pm

The Council of West Northamptonshire Council was scheduled to meet on 25 September 2025, to discuss a range of issues including the West Northamptonshire Administration Delivery Plan, the Council Tax Reduction Scheme, and updates to the constitution. Councillors were also expected to discuss motions relating to smartphone use in schools, regeneration plans for Northampton, and support for vaccine programmes.

Council - Thursday 25th September 2025 5.00 pm

The Council of West Northamptonshire Council convened to consider nominations for Honorary Aldermen and Alderwomen. The meeting was scheduled to include announcements from Councillor Alison Eastwood, Chairman of the Council, and Councillor Mark Arnull, Leader of the Council and Leader of the Reform UK Group. Councillors were also expected to address any urgent business and consider the exclusion of press and public for certain items.

Strategic Planning Committee - Tuesday 23rd September 2025 2.00 pm

The Strategic Planning Committee of West Northamptonshire Council met to discuss several planning applications, approving a primary school and a distribution warehouse, and deferring a decision on a housing development. The committee approved the construction of a new primary school at Buckton Fields and a storage and distribution building at Zone A, DIRFT, while a decision on a housing development on land north west of Upper High Street, Harpole, was deferred.

Non-Strategic Planning Committee - Thursday 4th September 2025 6.00 pm

The Non-Strategic Planning Committee met on 4 September 2025, to discuss several planning applications in the West Northamptonshire area. Councillors voted to approve an application for Catesby Park, and The Poplars Farm, while applications for land in Potterspury and Middleton Cheney were refused. The committee also agreed to hold an additional meeting on Thursday 23 October 2025, to discuss application 2025/0057/MAO for Land at Harlestone Road and York Way, Dallington.
