The Strategic Planning Committee met on 16 September 2025, and unanimously approved the demolition of the existing building at 114-150 Queensway and 97-113 Inverness Terrace, W2 and its redevelopment into two interlinked buildings with retail and restaurant space, and 94 residential units. The development includes 35% affordable housing, and is subject to a legal agreement covering various contributions and conditions.

The City of Westminster Council met on 10 September 2025, and began by electing Councillor Hamza Taouzzale as Relief Chair for the meeting. Councillors then heard questions from the public on topics ranging from policing to street lighting, and debated issues including pedestrianisation of Oxford Street, homelessness, and street cleaning.
