Full Council - Monday 29th September 2025 6.30 pm
Boston Borough Council met to discuss the 2024/25 outturn report, appointments to committees, the designation of a Section 151 officer[^2], the South and East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership performance, and a motion to replace the Chairman of the Planning Committee. The council approved the transfer of a £1.015 million surplus to the volatility reserve, made appointments to committee vice-chairmanships and outside bodies, designated a Section 151 officer, and voted to replace Councillor David Middleton as Chairman of the Planning Committee with Councillor Peter Bedford.

Councillors agreed to consult on options for the local Council Tax Support scheme for 2026/27, approved a new Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Strategy, and supported the continuation of the South and East Lincolnshire Councils Crowdfunding Scheme. At a special cabinet meeting, Boston Borough Council agreed to partner with East Lindsey District Council and South Holland District Council in developing a proposal for local government reorganisation, and also approved operational arrangements for a home energy advice service. The cabinet also discussed and approved a finance update, a performance and risk report, and an update on the Plan for Neighbourhoods.
