The Cabinet adopted the Residential Alterations and Retrofit Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) on 02/06/2026. The Corporate Director of Regeneration, Planning & Strategic Property was authorised to make minor amendments to the document prior to publication, and the previous Residential Extensions and Alterations SPD was revoked.

The Cabinet of Waltham Forest approved the commissioning approach for the Healthy Child Programme, Best Start Service, and Universal and Targeted Services for Children. They agreed to commence a competitive procurement process and delegated authority to Strategic Directors to finalise procurement documentation, evaluate tenders, and award contracts.

Cabinet approved Waltham Forest's continued involvement in Local Community Fostering as one of four regional authorities and to continue as the lead authority. Authority was delegated to the Strategic Director, Children's Services, in consultation with the Strategic Director of Resources, to progress and decide on the expansion of the service's scope and remit, including developing an end-to-end regional fostering recruitment and assessment model.

The Cabinet of Waltham Forest approved the recommended procurement strategy for housing repairs on 02 June 2026. This strategy involves re-tendering two partner contracts for Mechanical and Electrical repairs and General Repairs, and procuring specialist contractors for high-risk service areas. The decision also delegates authority to the Strategic Director of Place to agree final contract terms and conditions.

The Council of Waltham Forest Council received the Returning Officer's Report on Local Election Results on 21 May 2026. The report noted the persons elected as Councillors on 7 May 2026. The report included a breakdown of elected members by party and detailed results per ward.
