The Council meeting on Tuesday 14 July 2026 saw councillors debate and ultimately pass a motion calling for a fully connected Hammersmith Bridge, capable of carrying public transport and emergency services, and not just pedestrians and cyclists. The council also agreed to extend two Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs) aimed at tackling anti-social behaviour and dog control issues, and approved the appointment of Anna Popovici as the new Chief Executive for Richmond and Wandsworth Councils.

The Regulatory Committee of Richmond upon Thames Council met on Tuesday 23 June 2026 to discuss the extension of Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs) and a proposed revision to the Statement of Licensing Policy. Licensing Sub-Committee - Monday, 22 June 2026 - 11.00 am

The Licensing Sub-Committee of Richmond upon Thames Council refused an application to vary the premises licence for Londis, located at 250 Upper Richmond Road West, East Sheen, London, SW14 8AG. The application sought to extend the hours for the sale of alcohol for consumption off the premises. The decision was made after considering representations from the applicant, local residents, and interested parties, with concerns raised about underage sales, public nuisance, and crime and disorder.
