The Health Scrutiny Committee approved the Northamptonshire Suicide Prevention Strategy 2026-2031 and its accompanying action plan on 02/07/2026. The committee noted the comprehensive process undertaken to develop the strategy, including stakeholder engagement and consultation activities.

The committee noted progress and endorsed the ongoing Orchard Project for dementia research and best practice. The Health Scrutiny Committee approved recommendations regarding the Care Quality Commission assessment outcome and improvement plan on 02/07/2026. The committee noted the "Requires Improvement" rating, the associated improvement plan, and supported the development of an Adult Social Care Improvement Board. The committee also noted the intention for future quarterly updates on Adult Social Care performance metrics.

The Council of North Northamptonshire Council on 21/05/2026 approved the Executive appointments and portfolios made by the Leader of the Council for 2026/27. The decision noted the portfolio responsibilities assigned to specific councillors, including Leader, Deputy Leader, and Executive Members for various areas such as Finance, Adults & Health Partnerships, and Children, Education & Families.
