The Licensing Committee of Bexley Council met on Tuesday 20 January 2026 to discuss a range of licensing matters. The agenda included a review of licences determined under delegated powers, proposed changes to fees and charges for various services, and an update on licensing and trading standards enforcement activities.

Council - Wednesday, 5th November, 2025 7.30 pm

The Council of the London Borough of Bexley is scheduled to meet on 5 November 2025. Licensing Committee - Tuesday, 21st October, 2025 7.30 pm

The Licensing Committee convened to discuss several key issues, including a proposed change to the temporary events licence fee for the Bexleyheath Broadway Business Improvement District (BID), aimed at boosting the town centre's economy, and to review the annual performance of the Licensing Partnership. The committee approved the 6-month event licence for the Bexleyheath BID, and they also reviewed licensing activities determined under delegated powers, and received updates on licensing enforcement and the Licensing Partnership's annual performance.

Finance & Corporate Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Wednesday, 15th October, 2025 7.30 pm

The Finance and Corporate Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the customer experience strategy, the people strategy, and the work programme. The committee noted the progress made on the customer experience strategy and the people strategy, and agreed to set up a task and finish group on the new Procurement Act regulations. Councillor Stefano Borella, Leader of the Labour Group / Shadow Cabinet Member for Corporate Policy and Budget, enquired whether Councillor David Leaf, Cabinet Member for Resources, would continue to attend the committee meetings once he is elected as leader of the council.
