Consolidated Business Committee

The Consolidated Business Committee can make decisions on urgent matters when it's not practical to convene the Full Council or the relevant committee. It is typically convened during council vacation periods for decisions with external timetables, or when the Chief Executive deems it necessary due to serious threats to human welfare, the environment, or security in the Aberdeenshire area. The Chief Executive, in consultation with key council figures, can also delegate powers to this committee to ensure business continuity.
