About

The Licensing and Regulatory Committee is responsible for a range of licensing matters in Barking and Dagenham. This includes decisions on applications for premises licenses for alcohol sales, street trading, night cafes, sex establishments, and betting shops, as well as reviewing existing premises licenses. The committee operates under legislation including the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005. A Licensing Sub-Committee was established to handle many applications, with the main committee meeting quarterly to consider strategic policy, current issues, and exceptional cases.
