About
The Transport Committee is accountable for the development, management and implementation of key transport strategy and policy including the Local Transport and Connectivity Plan (LTCP), the Bus Strategy, the Transport Budget (including any transport levy), the annual programme of strategic transport and infrastructure projects, and the delegation of passenger transport functions to delivery partners. The Committee also oversees key performance measures such as increasing public transport usage and sustainable travel connectivity, reducing the number of people killed or seriously injured on the region’s roads, reducing congestion on major roads and improving connectivity for ‘left behind’ areas.
The Committee is chaired by Councillor Chris Boden, Leader of Fenland District Council.
