About
The Corporate Infrastructure and Regulatory Services Scrutiny Committee scrutinises the Council's policies, budget framework, and resource management. It reviews the implementation of existing policies and considers new ones related to corporate and strategic services, governance, and community safety, including emergency planning and crime and disorder strategies.
The committee also assesses the effectiveness of Cabinet decisions concerning 'place shaping and universal population services' such as the environment, economic activity, transport, and community services like libraries and education. It makes reports and recommendations to ensure the Council achieves its strategic priorities and delivers best value.
