About
The Licensing and General Purposes Committee is responsible for a range of statutory duties and matters that are not delegated to the Council's Executive. This includes overseeing election arrangements and boundary changes within the Borough.
The committee determines applications and handles duties related to the Licensing Act 2003, food safety, animal health and welfare, and gaming and betting. It also addresses crime and disorder issues linked to these areas and acts as a trustee for council property and other trust matters.
