About

The Licensing Panel is responsible for deciding on licensing applications under the Licensing Act 2003 when objections have been raised. This includes premises that sell alcohol for consumption on or off-site, and may also cover entertainment such as music and dancing. The Panel, composed of three councillors from the Licensing Committee (excluding those whose ward is affected), also considers other licence applications with objections or where officers recommend refusal. Its decisions are guided by the council's Licensing Policy.
