The Health, Wellbeing and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Committee reviews the performance of local services, scrutinises decisions, and contributes to policy development to improve service delivery for Islington residents. It acts as a critical friend, offering constructive challenge to ensure services are effective, efficient, and make the best use of resources.

The committee oversees functions including healthy and independent lives, public health, integrating health and care, adult mental health, adult social care, adult safeguarding, and assistive technology.
