About

The Licensing Committee is responsible for the Council's duties under the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005, as well as other licensing and registration functions. It agrees policies and procedures for these acts, and maintains and reviews their operational policies. The committee also appoints sub-committees to determine licence applications that cannot be handled by officers and determines applications not delegated elsewhere. Its work is guided by regulations and government guidance.
