The Planning Committee of Sutton Council met on Wednesday 7 October 2026 to discuss several planning applications. The committee granted planning permission for the erection of an attached two-storey dwelling at 51 Ash Road, Sutton, and for extensions and alterations at 22 Sandhills in Wallington. Permission was also granted for the completion and retention of extensions at 3 Lymbourne Close, Belmont, and for the erection of two semi-detached bungalows at 5 Latimer Close, Worcester Park. The committee also approved a change of use application for 1 Hackbridge Road to increase its capacity as a House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) from seven to ten residents. Finally, permission was granted for the erection of a three-storey detached building comprising eight self-contained residential units at Memorial Gardens Burial Ground, Carters Close, Worcester Park.

The Strategy and Resources Committee of Sutton Council met on Monday 05 October 2026 to discuss a range of important issues, including the adoption of a new Corporate Plan, Workforce Strategy, and Medium Term Financial Strategy. The committee also considered reforms to the Planning Committee, the transition to a cabinet model of governance, and the renewal of Public Spaces Protection Orders.
