The Place and Resources Overview and Scrutiny Committee scrutinises decisions made by the Cabinet and advises the Council on future decisions. It plays a key role in developing and reviewing policy.
The committee can review decisions made by the Cabinet before they are implemented, and can formally call-in decisions that have been made but not yet enacted if there are concerns about how they were made. This function helps hold decision-makers to account.
