The Cabinet of West Northamptonshire Council noted the content of the reports on Housing Landlord Services performance on 16/07/2026. The Cabinet approved recommendations regarding the Landlord Services Annual Performance Report 2025-26.

The Cabinet of West Northamptonshire Council approved the Childcare Sufficiency Assessment 2025 on 16/07/2026. The Council will proceed with publication and implementation of the assessment, with ongoing monitoring of equality impacts. Development of inclusive childcare places for children with SEND will be prioritised.

The Cabinet of West Northamptonshire Council authorised the Assistant Director Assets & Environment, in consultation with others, to transact several asset transactions. These included the surrender and re-grant of a lease for land at Browns Road, Daventry, the freehold disposal of Long Buckby Library and Milton Malsor Village Park to their respective parish councils, and the freehold disposal of other land parcels. The Cabinet also approved a revised approach to retained rights over land transferred to town or parish councils.

The Cabinet of West Northamptonshire Council decided to approve the Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Strategy 2026–2031 on 16/07/2026. The decision also supports a "TEC First" approach across Adult Social Care and endorses the continued development of TEC solutions.

The Strategic Planning Committee of West Northamptonshire Council approved the construction of a solar photovoltaic farm on 14th July 2026. The decision was made in line with officer recommendations, subject to conditions. Conditions include securing biodiversity mitigation, a Construction Environmental Management Plan, a lighting strategy, Biodiversity Net Gain measures, soil management, restoration and aftercare, a detailed drainage design, long-term maintenance, erosion control, verification of drainage infrastructure, a Written Scheme of Investigation, and a Heritage Management Plan.
